Vertical Markets

Lightspeed Logic's Reconfigurable Logic is used in market segments in which flexibility and time to market are critical, such as imaging, video, audio, display control, wireless, networking, and automotive.  With multiple IDM licensees and our TSMC product offering, Lightspeed Logic enables competitive devices by IDMs and large fabless semiconductor companies.

Consumer Imaging, Video, Audio, Display Control, & Wireless

Lightspeed Logic’s licensees create semiconductors for high volume markets where die size, leakage and performance all need to be on par with standard cell. By using mask-reconfigurable logic for an embedded region in the design our licensees can offer cost effective derivative devices but with 1/3 the time-to-market and reduced engineering expense compared to a standard cell device.

Networking

The networking market must contend with changing standards and multiple interfaces.  Lightspeed Logic’s mask-reconfigurable logic arrays allow the design of a single platform device in which the logic can be customized quickly to respond to changes in the customer’s specification.

Automotive

Lightspeed Logic's technology is based on customer-specified standard cells, therefore IC makers enable their end customers to differentiate by adding their own automotive IP to products without incurring any changes to their QMS9000 certification.

Structured ASICs

To bring a new Structured ASIC to market, Lightspeed Logic's Reconfigurable Logic, delivers the structured ASIC logic fabric in 12 weeks (based on the target process and library). Lightspeed Logic’s Reconfigurable Logic can be ported to any process. From TSMC 65nm process to RAD-Hard 150nm SOI process, the Reconfigurable Logic development time is just 12 weeks. The routed density achieved can be as high as 90% that of standard cell, depending on the number of metal and via layers configured.
