America's Second Harvest

America's Second Harvest—The Nations Food Bank Network is the largest domestic hunger-relief organization in the United States. The national Network secures and distributes nearly two billion pounds of food and grocery products to more than 200 regional food banks and food-rescue organizations in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. In 2004, Forbes magazine gave America's Second Harvest a charitable commitment rating of 98%meaning 98% of all product and financial donations received by America's Second Harvest go directly towards feeding hungry people rather than administration or fundraising.

Entrepreneurs Foundation

Lightspeed Logic has found that Entrepreneurs Foundation provides an effective way for companies to become engaged in community service. Entrepreneurs Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening the ties between entrepreneurial companies in the Bay Area and the communities in which they operate and their employees reside. Entrepreneurs Foundation enables companies to incorporate corporate citizenship, community involvement and philanthropy into their corporate culture. To date, Entrepreneurs Foundation, and its participating companies have contributed more than $3.4 million to support the Bay Area community and matched nearly 10,000 employees with over 140 Bay Area community organizations. Entrepreneurs Foundation is making a difference here in the Bay Area and in seven other locations.

The Family Giving Tree

The Family Giving Tree is a nonprofit organization, based in California's San Francisco Bay Area, dedicated to fulfilling the Holiday wishes of children who would otherwise go without gifts.  The Giving Tree Holiday Program works with more than 200 Bay Area social service agencies. The goal of The Family Giving Tree is to offer assistance to as many people as possible through the Giving Tree programs, by creating a simple and effective way for anyone to enrich their own life by helping others. In addition to the Holiday program, the Family Giving Tree has partnered with RAFT to run a "Back-to-School" program to collect and distribute backpacks filled with school supplies to children in September.
