Farid Naib – Chief Executive Officer, Lightspeed Holdings Inc.
Mr. Naib joined the Board of Directors of Lightspeed in September 2012 and became Chairman in February 2013 and CEO of the Lightspeed holding company in February 2014 . An operating partner at LLR Partners, Mr. Naib has served as an operational consultant to Lightspeed since May 2012. Mr. Naib has 25 years of experience in the financial technology industry as an entrepreneur, investor and manager. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Document Depository Corporation, a provider of data management solutions to alternative investment firms and venture-backed companies, which he founded in 2000. In addition, he served as a director of Gain Capital prior to its initial public offering in December 2010 and is currently a board member of AlignAlytics. Previously, he founded FNX Limited, a leading provider of global over-the-counter trading technology to the world’s largest financial institutions. FNX was acquired by GL Trade (now part of SunGard) in 2007. Mr. Naib also has served as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He holds a Series 7 license.
Jason Lyons – Chief Executive Officer, Lightspeed Trading LLC (Broker Dealer)
Mr. Lyons co-founded Lightspeed in 2006 as part of a management buyout from E*TRADE, where he held various leadership roles throughout the organization. During his tenure at E*TRADE, Mr. Lyons gained experience in clearing operations, correspondent services, mergers and acquisitions and financial planning and analysis. Mr. Lyons began his career in the securities industry with Barclays Global Investors. He holds Series 7, 24, 27 and 63 licenses.
Michael Sedek – Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Sedek joined Lightspeed in 2007 as part of Lightspeed’s merger with the retail trading operations of Schonfeld & Company, where he served as Vice President of Sales, Operations and Product Development. Mr. Sedek began his career at Broadway Trading, where he served as a principal and branch manager responsible for client relationships and operations. He holds Series 3, 7, 9, 10, 24, 27, 55 and 63 licenses.
Scott Ignall – Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Ignall co-founded Lightspeed in 2006 as part of a management buyout from E*TRADE, where he served as Director of DMA Product Strategy for E*TRADE Capital Markets. While at E*TRADE, Mr. Ignall had strategic oversight over direct market access, order management and market data systems in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia. Previously, he served as Vice President of Technology Affairs at Tradescape, a developer of innovative trading tools, which was acquired by E*TRADE in 2002. Mr. Ignall began his career at Datek and has been a key driver in the design, creation and implementation of the Lightspeed Trader platform. He holds Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.
Keith Petzold – Chief Compliance Officer
Mr. Petzold joined Lightspeed in 2007 as part of Lightspeed’s merger with the retail trading operations of Schonfeld & Company, where he served as Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to Schonfeld & Company, Mr. Petzold was Associate Director of Compliance at Schonfeld Securities. Mr. Petzold began his career at Nathan & Lewis Securities as a compliance associate in 1997. He holds Series 4, 7, 9, 10, 14, 24, 53, 63 and 65 licenses.
Eric Jones – Executive Vice President, Finance
Mr. Jones joined Lightspeed in 2012. Previously, Mr. Jones was a senior associate in the financial services practice of LLR Partners, a Philadelphia-based private equity firm with over $2.0 billion of capital under management and Lightspeed’s largest institutional investor. Prior to joining LLR Partners in 2008, he was an investment banking analyst at Peter J. Solomon Company focused on mergers and acquisitions and financial restructurings.
